Well, let's move forward with a plan to meet this Wednesday at Common Ground. Say 11? Amanda's Action Kids will likely be going on so I will sit in the restaurant area and wait. I am tall with glasses and brown hair and my son is a cute little blonde. Looking forward to meeting up with some American mums!

I don't often meet North American Moms here and it's nice to have some famaliarity and have an understanding of how hard it can be with kids and no family around. I rarely meet American moms so it would be nice to join you next time and I'll email Kate. My son is 10 months so it sounds like a few of us are in the same boat! I am also a new mum from America that is living in Clapham with hubby and 6 month old baby girl. I would love to meet some other Americans living in the area. Would be open to lunch with a group or individuals if anyone is free. Wow - who knew there were so many other local American mums?!? I just came across this post from the weekly email. I'm also an American new mum to a 3 and half month old baby boy and would be keen to meet other Yanks. We're *hopefully* flying out to CA for a Xmas visit tomorrow (Heathrow is a disaster right now, so we're crossing our fingers and toes), but will be back 12th of Jan. I'll email Kate to get added to the list, and hope to meet you at Common Ground in the New Year!

I'm so glad to know there are so many of us around the area. It's been so nice/will be nice to meet all of you. As Anna said in her post we usually meet up on Wednesdays at Common Ground but as we are getting to be a rather large number I thought I would suggest my house for the next meetup? Least we would have more space and the babas can play on the floor. Is anyone free to come down to Balham on Wed 5th Jan around 11:00?
