I read your post. I would really recommend you take up some meditation, and breathing classes/exercises.
Restorative Yoga is also good for people who suffer from anxiety.
Hypnotherapy is also a good option to settle the mind and to focus on being in a blissfull state of consciousness.
You could try buying an essential oil (Rosemary Oil/Neals Yard) and keeping it in your handbag to smell when you feel it coming on
(Rosemary is great for grounding).

If you can learn to focus on your breathing in the moment of when you feel the anxiety coming up it helps . Takes time and practise but it will in turn centre you.
