At the beginning of this very happy new year we are thrilled that Capoiera is back, this term begins on Wednesday 12th January at 4.30pm - 5.30pm. We have introduced a new Term rate for the 12 weeks of term which is £70 - individually the classes are £7 per class.
During the 12 week programme, students will: - learn the basic movements of capoeira - learn a range of songs in Portuguese and Yoruba - have an understanding of the cultural and historical context of capoeira - learn songs and phrases in Portuguese - improve team skills and self confidence - be able to improvise routines and 'play' with an opponent - take part in a performance - receive a Certificate of Achievement.
Children will learn the basic movements of Capoiera, some of the history of the activity in taught in an interactive way. The Dance Da Liberade team have been teaching classes in the south London area for 10 years.
