In the prevoice months i've gathered information regarding the bogus door to door fish sellers from there frequent visits as i have fallen victim to them before.
Northumberland Fisheries were back last week,an older chap this time aged around 55 to 65 with a speech impediment asked me if i would like some
fresh fish from northumberland while i was pruning my shrubs.
Firstly as i replied no to the gentlemen i noticed they had removed half there sign off the side of there vehicle.
A White van, long wheel base van,Ford, registration 08 or 06 with yellow lettering along the side saying only FISHERIES now where as before it clearly stated NORTHUMBERLAND FISHERIES along the side.
I've lost there registration but they have called in this street on numerous occasions in the past so when they come back i'll post it.
Now a blue Ford Transit, registration T577 AGU van with white lettering was around about 7 weeks ago parked in the street while his colleagues
was cold calling door to door.
I approached the chap at the back of his van and showed interest in what he was selling,he showed me a selection of fish which was presented
in packets which was packed by North Quay Fisheries.
He was very pushy in offering bulk buy only which varied from £200 upto £700 for the frezzer with a selection of fish of my choice.
I then asked what payment would be acceptable and he replied cash or cheque and all cheques are to be made payable to satchin limited.
I then made it quit clear that i only wanted a piece for tea and he became very agitated so i said good bye but what startled me was the name
SATCHINS LIMITED as i recently stubled across another article invovling another fish scam.
