After School Mother's Help Wanted Post Reply

I'm starting a new job on May 5th and I need afterschool care for my daughter who is 5.5 and in year one.

Will be things like picking up from school, preparing tea, making sure she does homework, dropping her at activities, playdates, etc. as well as some light help with tidying up, etc.

Anyone have any recommendations?

This seems to be one of the hardest childcare positions to fill! We used ********* - you can use their advanced search to find someone specifically looking for after school hours and you can search by postcode and other useful criteria. It takes time and you can see a lot who are unsuitable.....but it seems to be the resource that those who want to work in childcare use. Something like £20 a month - you can cancel once you don't need it anymore.....much cheaper than agency fees. Hope this helps and good luck!

Have any of your friends got an au pair?
I recommended my au pair to a user of this site and she now looks after her child three afternoons a week.
This way you could even use the same person for babysitting.
