GROVE HALL NURSERY, BALHAM GROVE, LONDON SW12

Postby sophie7 » Mon Aug 24, 2009 9:03 am

Hi to all,
Anybody have any feedback on Grove Hall nursery??? I believe this is the baby part of L'Ecole de Benjamins.
I have the dilemma of picking a nursery for my 9 month old daughter. Where do you even begin to start!

I have already visited The baby Room in Clapham Old Town, and Elm's Park Montessori on Clarence Avenue. Not enlightened by either at the moment. please help!!!!

Hi, I haven't got any info on Grove Hall I'm afraid but my money in SW12 is on Second Steps, Ravenslea Road. I've had kids there throughout the last 10 years and I can't really fault it. Some of the staff are still there from when my first child started and all the girls who work there are fantastic. If anyone doesn't cut the mustard they move on very quickly. Only downside for you is that they don't take babies until they're 12 months old but lots of people use the lovely childminder across the road until their child is old enough. x

Hi kloynes,

I'm very interested in the childminder you mention! Could you possibly provide more details?

Thanks.

Hi there
Both of mine have been to Grove Hall (well, when the oldest attended it was still L'ecole des Benjamins at that stage, but with all the same staff, just different premises). The staff are fantastic. There has been a lot more continuity over the last year or so and they are always so friendly, welcoming and greet the children with a smile. Mine have both been really happy there and there have very very rarely been any tears saying goodbye. They organise a lot of activities and I think my children have both been well-stimulated.
They are just doing- up the premises at the moment to make it larger and it is due to re-open in the next couple of weeks. I would recommend definitely going along to take a look (I think in the end only you know as the Mum what feels right for you and your children). But from my experience I would really highly recommend it.
