New Covent Garden market with kids?!

Postby Tilly&Roo » Fri Oct 23, 2015 6:51 pm

I haven't been to the flower market in years and wanted to go during 1/2 term with the kids (always too late to go after school drop). Does anyone know if it's ok to take kids? Also are you allowed to buy as a private person as its a wholesalers? I didn't have any issues last time but maybe it's changed?

Thanks

Yes and yes.
I've been several times with my son; just remember to wrap then up warm as it's cold in there.
The earlier the better as there are more stalls.

They sell to the general public; obviously depends what you want whether you can buy single or need to buy a trays worth.

hello:

taking your children to covent garden flower market is a wonderful experience.

i used to take my daughter, starting @ age four, to buy our christmas decorations every year - her birthday is christmas eve. i would go back later to buy the "santa surprise" christmas tree, and on the night before her birthday we always slept under the tree.

we always went at easter so we could fill the house with tulips. to this day
(she will be 28 this year) she fondly remembers those trips, the hot chocolate and the bacon butties.

the vendors there were always wonderful - enjoy!
