Can anyone recommend a good but not too over priced basement company based for work in SW18?

Hi
I hope these previous posts will help.

Also please please please read the advice on insurance, the awful photos of the collapse in Barnes this week is a reminder that these can go wrong.

Luckily no one was hurt but the they'll be a pretty big financial cost

Good luck and do let us know how you got on.

i think all this basement digging has to stop.
you want a bigger house? move out to a bigger house.
what happened in Barnes is a reminder that houses need foundations.

That's a very simplistic view! There is a shortage of houses on the market and those that are for sale, are in the millions. A basement extension is a cheaper alternative, esp if you don't want to leave your area, friends, school etc.

We used Qualitas. They were very expensive and, in our view, did a poor job. We would never recommend them to anyone (save perhaps our worst enemy!)

sure there is a shortage of houses but an abundance of greed to extend houses to increase the value.
I am seriously worried about all the basement excavations in wandsworth

It looks like we are not the only ones to have had a bad service from Qualitas. Their finishing in particular seems to be an issue. If you would like to have more details on this do let us know.

Keep the comments coming through on this.

Dear dima
I have found your comment because we have had several basement companies round and thought Qualitas were quite good.
Would you be able to give me a bit more info about your experience with them?
