Postby toomanycooks » Thu May 26, 2016 1:39 pm

Hi I am thinking of getting a stand cake mixer, but which is the best one ? The Kitchen aid's are so expensive are they much better than the K Mix ones ?

Hello @toomanycooks!
KitchenAid and KMix stand cake mixers are very similar. Roughly the same in size and bowl capacity it can be hard to choose yet there are some differences…

The KitchenAid is heavier than the KMix stand mixer as it is enamelled stainless steel, so you’re sure of it to last forever. Both are available in a range of different colours so you can personalise it just the way you want it and make it fit in with your décor.
Both are extremely easy to use and clean. Although KitchenAid has less wattage consumption than KMix, it wins with 10 speed settings over KMix’ 8 speed settings.
The KMix includes a wire whisk, dough hook, beater and flexi beater, everything you might need for your baking projects. On the other hand, the KitchenAid generally includes an egg whisk, dough hook and beater, yet more accessories are available and range from juicers to pasta attachment to even the ice cream maker!

Both KitchenAid and KMix have a range of different type of stand mixer models, when choosing the right one, we recommend for you to consider, what you will be using it for, frequency and how many people you are going to baking for.

Hope that helps and Happy baking!
