Hi there :)

Sorry to hear you've had a bumpy start to breastfeeding - I found it incredibly tough due to my son's tongue tie (this wasn't picked up until I saw a lactation consultant and had been missed by midwives and BF counsellors). I saw Maria Yasnova who is a lactation consultant and so kind. Carmelle Gentle then helped us with the tongue tie. It was a difficult few weeks but we did eventually get there! Good luck - and congratulations!

Xx

I'm so sorry to hear you are having trouble feeding your lovely baby, the feeling of not being able to do something supposedly "natural" is very upsetting but with the right help I think you'll get to the bottom of it. I had dreadful mastitis with my daughter, at which point i nearly gave up, but I was recommended an IBCLC lactation consultant who saved us - they are certified and work to a high standard. You need someone to give you clarity, you don't need to leave feeling like you still don't have answers.

These are a group of local IBCLC consultants, but you can also look on the IBCLC website and search where you are.
https://breastfeedinglondon.co.uk - get them to come to you if you can.

Also, I'm a member of a great online bf support group, really amazing. PM me and I can add you.

Second for Katherine Fisher who corrected my daughter's tongue tie. First help however was given by Sharon George. She visited me at home and had us breastfeeding in about 10 mins after 4 months of pain and marathon feeding times. She diagnosed the tongue tie and recommended Katherine to correct it.

If you are still feeling that you would like to continue, I'd certainly recommend them both.

Best of luck which ever route you decide to go down.

I'm sorry you're having such a tough time with breastfeeding. When I was struggling the first week, I had a session with Indira Lopez-Bassols, whom I found very helpful: https://breastfeedinglondon.co.uk/about ... ez-bassols. She came to my home in Clapham.

Good luck to you!
