Toddler Duvet Cover

Postby DomsMom » Tue May 31, 2011 1:56 pm

I'm about to move my toddler from cot to toddler bed and would like to buy him a nice duvet cover. I'm not really into really bright colours or branded/character designs. Any idea where I can look locally? Don't want to pay a fortune either...Thanks

I was amazed by how much these duvet covers cost - wherever you get them! Aspace do some nices ones and you can sometimes get them cheaper on the sale section of their site if you go online.

Try the White Company. I know they are generally on the expensive side but I don't remember being too shocked by their toddler bedding prices. Or the toddler duvet costs either...

Another vote for Aspace, covers and duvets. Plus I find they are so friendly in the Northcote shop.

Great Little Trading Company have 20% off all bedding for the next six days and they usually have really lovely stuff so if you haven't got anything already it might be worth a look.

Out of interest how old is your toddler? And what provoked the move to a bed? Just wondering as am thinking about this for my 28 month old daugter. We have another on way in oct so am getting really twisted around in regards to timings! Don't want to move her too early just for new baby but also don't want to have to get second cot for matter of months! Thanks!

Littlekidsbedroom.com or featherandblack both seem to have sales on currently x

My mother bought my daughter a fab cot bed duvet cover from Ikea, it was cotton and had crocodiles etc on it, it was really nice. I also found a few nice ones in Cologne and Cotton sale. But maybe look on eBay too, I have just bought some fab vintage single Peter Rabbit duvet covers on there for my daughter and she adores them, so much nicer than the lurid bright colours you can sometimes find in shops today.

Do the Ikea duvet covers fit a cotbed duvet?

We got a junior bed from Ikea and the cotbed fitted sheet is a bit too small (mattress tends to curl up!) but a single fitted sheet is too big! I don't think junior bed sheets exist do they?

I got our cot bed fitted sheets for our toddler bed in John Lewis and they fit fine.

The toddler duvet we were bought from Ikea fitted the cot bed duvet well, but I'm not sure about their fitted sheets.

There are some nice ones in Ikea:

I hope that makes sense!
