Live-in Mother's Help 35 hrs in Wandsworth needed

Postby Crystaltips74 » Tue Nov 21, 2017 4:20 pm

We are a family with 2 kids, a 4 (nearly 5) year old daughter who has just started school, and a 3 year old son who has just started nursery. They are both charming and good fun, with the usual dose of tantrums thrown in! Parents work full time nearby, very busy, but no tantrums

We are looking for someone who is happy, fun, and reliable. You should enjoy being organised and tidy, a healthy cook, be fluent in English and a non-smoker. Previous childcare experience in the UK is essential, and being able to handle disciplining, basic homework (learning to read & write) and caring for when sick.

We are offering £160 per week plus paid holiday, room and full board. We have a lovely large house with garden. You will have your own double bedroom with TV, fridge, microwave and kettle on the top floor. Also free WI-FI, professional use of phone, and ipad. We live in a fantastic location on West Hill in Wandsworth, SW18. We are only a few minutes walk from Southside shopping centre, with great shops, cinema, gyms, restaurants etc) and the park.

Hours: Term time: 7am – 9am then 3.30pm to 6.30 pm Monday to Thursday, 7am-9am then only 50% of Friday afternoons 12pm-6.30pm. We also require some help on Sundays and two evenings babysitting, which are all negotiable. During school holidays hours would increase (with increased pay) although you would likely only be looking after the older child as the younger will be in full-time nursery.

General responsibilities: Getting up / ready for school / dinnertime and bedtime routine; walking younger child to nursery & back (5 mins) and occasional collecting of elder child from school (by bus); preparing healthy meals including some meals for the whole family; nappy changing / toileting and bathing; washing and changing the children’s bedding & towels; keeping bedrooms, kitchen and play areas clean and tidy & looking after toys; arranging playdates and local activities

Also some simple housekeeping responsibilities like placing weekly shopping order online and putting food shopping away when delivered, liaising with cleaners, deliveries, helping feed our cats.

We have a cleaner twice a week so you will not be expected to do general household cleaning. Nor do you need to launder or iron the kids clothes.

We look forward to hearing from you!
