Very, very well said, and brave too. And extend it to events in the common, which thousands enjoy at the occasional expense of people (like me) in our £ms houses. The clue is in the word 'common' - it means land held in common, for everyone.
Courtesy of Wikipedia:
'Originally common land for the parishes of Battersea and Clapham, it was converted to parkland under the terms of the Metropolitan Commons Act 1878.'

The act was supposed to allow councils to use rates to maintain commons, Lambeth however use ours as a cash-cow. Apologies for veering slightly off topic.

Illegal immigration is what the restaurant raid was all about, That is controlled by gangs and a world that most of us would never want to see. We need to rid our country of illegal immigrants and not take a wishy washy liberal approach to being nice to everyone.
I agree with you that no one wants the world to be run by gangs that exploit vulnerable people. I think there may actually be a misappropriation of the word 'liberal' here, which seems to have become prevalent in social media and political rhetoric, but to be clear: the term neo-liberal refers to capitalism in its purest form, that is to say the foundation upon which our economy has been functioning since Thatcher AKA - as meritocracy that disregards those unfortunate enough to be born in Doncaster or Neath where the prospects are extremely bleak. It is not actually linked to being liberal in views that benefit anyone other than corporations, elites and global trans-nationals. The term 'liberal' has come to mean anyone who exercises a modicum of kindness or compassion. This should not be confused with also wishing to uphold the law OR being weak. Liberal does not equal being weak. Being kind does not equal being weak. So I have to contest your 'wishy washy' reference as it is both incorrect and dismissive of kindness and compassion, which do not equate with weakness or blanket views, such as allowing illegal working practices. They are if anything the only values by which a society can function correctly.

If people are here illegally then they should not be.

We have basic values s a society and must stick with them.

I had to pay £3,000 to get my British passport.

Why should people push in front of me.

It ain't cricket.

I did not say I'm in favour of illegal immigrants, I simply meant that there are a lack of people in this country who are British who are willing to do certain jobs and Brexit has only exacerbated it. Not just in hospitality but agriculture, social care and the NHS.

A friend owns a restaurant and was fined last year, but she was presented with fake documents. She says since the referendum she cannot find suitable and willing staff and wants to pack it all in.
I appreciate concerns about gangs but from what I've seen illegals are simply overstayers and those working more than the 20 hours a student visa allows.

There are far more things that keep me up at night; the muggings, stabbings, moped gangs and acid attacks and these are not done by illegal immigrants. We need more police and more focus on why we have such a wide gap between rich and poor and addressing it. The government has it's priorities wrong.

There was an excellent article by Gary Younge in the Guardian not this last Sunday but the Sunday before about Windrush, how his mother worked as a nurse and how immigrants have contributed so much to this country.

The gap between rich and poor is partly about who is prepared to work hard through life and those that are not. Plenty of opportunities for everyone if you want to make it happen. Laziness will not make you rich. There has to be rewards for working hard as you have to give up your time, that could be spent with your family or on other pastimes and ask most entrepreneurs, you will at some stage take a big gamble with your money.

But the Left slanted newspapers will not report that.

Remember 27% of income tax is paid by then top 1%

We are higher tax payers. Still think it is stupidity to make the immigrant enemy number one in a system that fails so many. and you need to tell that statement, to the lazy Brits who have vented their frustrations on immigrants.
