Do you know a great cook looking to make extra cash?

Postby Bailey » Fri Oct 16, 2009 11:37 am

Hi Moms and Dads,

I am due to have my first baby on Dec. 10th. I am not a great cook and my hubby can't cook at all. We are Canadian and don't have any family around. We have a great kitchen and we are looking for someone who can cook great meals like lasagne, pasta sauces, bakes. The idea being we pay someone to come in and cook food for the week or the next two weeks, food we can freeze and is easy for us to whip up quickly throughout the week. We live in Battersea. So if you happen to know anyone who is a great cook and looking to make some extra cash working once a week or once every two weeks...please let me know . Thank you, Cdnmom :)

Hi there,
If you don't find anyone - can recommend Cook the shop which sells frozen home made ready meals for adults - packaged into Meals for One, two etc and kids/baby food too!! They are on line to find your nearest shop but there is on on abbeville road , clapham. Cook is great as it does food like shepherds pie, lasagne etc !

Hi,
I run my own catering company in wandsworth called Manuka Bites. I produce delicious home cooked meals for local families either fresh or frozen as well as all sorts of yummy store cupboard goodies and cakes and all sorts. Check out my website for some ideas and I am sure that I can help you out!!! http://www.manukabites.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Many thanks
Tiffany

I can vouch for Manuka Bites, i discovered her food about 6 months ago and everything is DELICOUS!, i am never going to make my own fish pie ever again, she tops it with a layer of tomatoes and then breadcrumbs so wonderfully light but full of fish, yum! so easy to order too, she'll even deliver if you need.
Georgie :)

Hi,
I am a Norland nanny, and have 10 years of experience of cooking food for all my lovely children I have cared for.
I love cooking and would be more than happy to occasionally come and help stock up your freezer with freshly made food. I would also be happy at a later stage to supply you with freshly made baby food. Have lots of experience with weaning!
I guess my best reference is the fact that all my employers eat the baby food I make, so I am more than happy to make adult size portions.
I currently live and work in Battersea. I work 4 and a half days a week but have most evenings free. Alternatively I have some weekends free so would be flexible with timings.
I love cooking, happy to make anything you would like. My charge I care for is 1 and her favourite dishes are fish pie and chicken casserole but happy to make anything.
Let me know if you would be interested.
Best regards,
Charlotte

Cook (there is one on Abbeville road) is fantastic! I filled our freezer with delicious home-made-like varied food before giving birth. My little girl is now 6 months and I have more time to cook but Cook is our lazy-night-in solution (I recommend the salmon en croute...yummy).
For freshly made food there is also the Jamie Oliver shop on St John's hill but dishes often lack the home-made taste.
Manukabites looks really tempting too, thanks Tiffany for your post!
