I'm also very surprised by the negative comments re Belleville on here, I think they've been doing a good job. The weekly phone call from our class teacher is really appreciated, it is a good chance for me to talk through anything with the teacher, and my child is really happy to hear from him too. I think they've done well with their learning materials, whoever commented that there are mistakes in it should see some of the material from our eldest's private secondary school, there have been far more there... Belleville have also had the teachers record audio books (with the text at the same time), and done online assemblies. Agreed, the feedback has been limited, but as mentioned that has been part of the non-lockdown policy in any case.
It takes a ridiculous amount of time to prepare all these materials, I think people could be much more appreciative. As for not opening until the 8th, does an extra five days at home make a big difference, after 10 weeks off?? It's a big school, so no doubt harder to implement all the safety changes required, and surely better that they delay until they feel they've sorted it out.
