Loft extension - Shaftesbury Estate

Postby shaftesburyparker » Mon Aug 07, 2017 2:25 pm

Could anybody give me a ball park figure for a loft extension in the Shaftesbury Estate?

Double bedroom, shower room, lowering ceilings on first floor.

Thanks!

Hi . We are a building Company based in Clapham and Battersea. We would estimate, although very roughly as only based on the information you have provided, around £60,000 plus Vat. We would be happy to provide a free quote if you contact us. SWLBC LTD

If you need an honest quote go for Jon Cash at Hilltop construction.
They are very experienced in this area of work, very efficient and great from planning to finishing details; if nothing else it will give you a solid base for further searches.

Best wishes with the project! :)

I've just completed a project like this on a standard mid terrace house. The loft conversion that you're describing cost me approx 35k all in and to lower the ceilings you might need to factor 8-10k. If you want to get a detailed price it might be better to call a builder out to get a quote. Our builder Clive is on 07966 476862 and they have completed numerous building projects on our property portfolio and have been excellent. They can help you out on plans, party wall agreements and building regs to which Dave a lot of worry and hassle on the clients part!

Hi, roughly how long did it all take to do? I am considering the same thing!

Hi - could you share how much it cost and how long it took to complete the loft conversion in the end? Looking to do the same. Thanks

We live on the Shaftesbury estate and got planning permission for a side return and loft extension just prior to lockdown. We’ve had estimates from 3 builders and the loft came in at about £60k from each of them.
