I have helped hundreds of smokers quit using a combination of hypnotherapy and counselling. If it done properly it only take about two hours and the results for most people are really good.
£500 is a lot to pay when a really good and very experienced person would normally only charge between £140 and £175 in the London area.
Charging high fees and offering free treatments if it does not work is frowned upon in my professional body (British Society of Clinical Hypnosis and the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy)
We are told not to do this and that you should charge the right price for the treatment and should not double or treble the price for marketing purposes.
Who ever you see it is worth asking if they will record the session so you can listen to it again at home during the first few days or at any time in the future if you are under pressure and feel tempted to smoke. Also check if they are full time or part time therapists and how long they have been helping people stop smoking as you do not want to be their first client. Also make sure they are in one of the main bone fide professional bodies as there are many bodies that sound good but have no credibility and are just for marketing.
I use Hypnotherapy to help people get off alcohol and hard drugs so helping them stop smoking should be no problem for more people. If you need any more info please email me on
