I am just re-posting this as a quick reminder that the first parent evening for the new Bolingbroke Academy is tomorrow night between 5.30 and 9pm. This is a great chance to meet first-hand our brilliant new head teacher Claire Edis. Claire is aiming to give a short talk at 5.45pm and then repeated at 6.30, 7.45 and 8.30. There will be a Q&A after each talk plus lots of people from ARK and the NSC to also speak to, in addition to display boards and the like to have a look at.

So if you want to find out amongst many other things about say a typical school day, sports, the colour of the uniform or how the building works will be phased - then come and have a look and tell us what you think tomorrow night. It will be great to see you.

The venue is the Common Ground Cafe on Wandsworth Common (off Dorlcote Road). See you there!

We had a really great evening last night with the first of our 'open days' for parents and children interested in the Bolingbroke Academy which is now taking applications for admissions next year. Both sessions were packed to the rafters to meet our new head Ms Edis and it was good to see just how much genuine interest there is in our new local secondary school. Any feedback from those attending last night here on NVN would be helpful of course.

The events will be repeated as per the dates above with the next one on Saturday followed by the Northcorte Library on Monday night.

For interested Year 6 parents we are also hoping to arrange a trip to one of ARKs schools next month so you can see first hand one of their academies in action. More on that soon when we have an agreed date for the visit. Places may be limited so make sure you sign up early when we post further details!

In the meantime do please come and visit us at one of the above days coming up here in Battersea.
