I have recently used a lovely chap called Brendan, who was recommended by a friend - he is based locally, and did a great job putting in some ceiling spotlights for us - prompt, reliable, polite and tidy.

Just wanted to update this to say that I contacted Ken Williams form Armadillo Electrics on Monday from the recommendation on this thread - he called me back very quickly and today came to do an excellent job. Very punctual, very polite and very good value. I would thoroughly recommend him.

Following on from these recommendations I just wanted to add that I used Ken and would also like to add my glowing praise for him! I contacted him having read the above and he was quick to give me a quote and a time he could do the work. The work was carried out quickly and efficiently and all tidied up at the end. He was fantastic with my toddler who was intent on watching and "helping" and also took the time to answer a few other questions I had about electrics in other parts of the house. What a Star!

I had a complete power outage last week. The emergency electrician insisted the only cure to be a complete kitchen rewire at a cost of c£3k.

I came across this thread and Ken's glowing reviews. He came out very quickly, narrowed down the problem and fixed it with minimal fuss. He ooused competence and I am very happy with a nice neat repair!
