I feel sorry for your child. As Love Lipstick said it is one of the last worry free summers. My son has just done GCSEs in a very academic schools and we've never tutored or did any summer work, apart from last summer when he did a bit of revision. Good schools are very good at managing it, identifying who needs extra help and leveling things up / understanding students in the first year. My guess is that you either tutored your child to death to get him / her in and are now stressing they won't manage to keep up, or you are incredibly competitive and want her / him to be top from day one. Both very unhealthy. Your aggressive response to mild and not aggressive comments is also unhealthy
