Congratulations Roundhouse – finalist for Sbid International Design Awards
Many congratulations to Roundhouse who are thrilled to be shortlisted as a finalist for this year’s prestigious SBID International Design Awards 2024 in the category Kitchen Design – UK.
The Harding project, a listed barn conversion in Somerset, was designed by the Roundhouse Fulham Showroom. ‘The client approached us with a clear vision for their barn conversion, seeking a highly practical kitchen for everyday use by their family of three. Additionally, they wanted the kitchen to serve as a captivating space for hosting large gatherings, with a particular focus on a statement island as the centrepiece. To facilitate seamless entertaining, we incorporated a commercial kitchen in the background for cooking during events. The design also includes a spacious table extending from the island, ensuring versatility for both family breakfasts and larger dinners. With a keen eye for details, the client conducted extensive research for furniture and hardware, emphasising a cohesive theme with the house and local heritage,’ Paul Welburn, Senior Designer at Roundhouse
