Does anyone know whether parasitic micro wasps really work for moth control?

No idea, but we used products from a company called Total Wardrobe Care when we had an issue w carpet and clothes moths. Totally sorted the problem and their products and packaging are lovely. Also, if they’re in your clothes you might want to consider hiring a big chest freezer for a weekend and just sticking everything in there in bin liners. This kills the eggs and might be cheaper/more practical than hot washing or dry cleaning everything.

Again, no idea about these wasps.

However, you have got to remove their source of food. There is often a source that needs to be destroyed.

You don’t mention where it is , but consider if you have a dark cupboard/loft where they are munching on an old coat or rolled up carpet.

Clean, air, go through everything. Let some light in .

Wool carpets are often a problem.

It could be that you need professional help, otherwise have a look at Lakeland, they have quite a few sprays for carpet or fabric and repellents.

There is no point just repelling if you haven’t got them at the source.

I have been quite traumatised by moths as when I lived as a lodger when just out of uni they kept coming into my immaculate room…. Only problem was the mental horder landlady had an old rolled up carpet and junk in a locked storage room linked to my room!

I can never unsee the halfeaten rug and moths 😁
I moved out the following weekend in a hurry !

I think you may well have asked because of the Sunday Times article last week. If so please ignore the link below but if not then it's an archived article explaining how someone did this.

It by passes the paywall - bit naughty but on a one off!
