Dysgraphia/Dyspraxia SEN teacher to help son with writing

Postby Claphammumquestion » Wed Jun 02, 2021 9:34 pm

Hi, my almost 8 year old is struggling with writing. He has recently been diagnosed with dysgraphia and we are now being referred to see whether he also has dyspraxia. Can anyone recommend someone experienced who can help him out of school?

Munira is a fantastic occupational therapist and she is now running online courses aimed at helping kids write. See http://www.ot4kids.co.uk/ and she has a Facebook group you can join called helping kids write.
She has lots of great ideas to help build the skills needed for successful writing. She’s helped my son for years.

I’ve also heard of Amanda McLeod who I think is based near Battersea Park and does handwriting.( google)

Otherwise there are some good occupational therapists based at Kikis on Thurlepgj

They should understand fine motor challenges, handwriting skills, Geometry Dash Lite  and how these conditions impact learning.
