Postby balhamite » Fri Dec 09, 2011 1:08 pm

Hello

Does anyone know of any child/baby friendly carol concerts taking place around the Balham area over the next few weeks?

Thanks

St Lukes in Thurleigh Road is doing a Follow the Star Carol service at 11.30 on the 18th. It's advertised as "very suitable for small children" and is followed by mince pies!

Hi balhamite and cosmopolitanmum,
Just read this thread. It just happens that I am the organiser of the Classics with my Baby series that you mentioned!

We have a Festive season concert this coming Friday (Friday 16th December, 10:30am) at St Luke's, Ramsden Road, which includes carols around the piano. We will also be playing Vivaldi's Winter from the Four Seasons and the feisty Four Seasons of Buenos Aires by Piazzolla.

For any more details, check out our website or send me an email

If you are around on Christmas Eve, we run a Children's Carol Service, complete with balloons that drop down from overhead at 4pm on Christmas Eve. It is about 45 minutes long.

Hope to see you there!

There is also a family carol service run by ChristChurch Earlsfield at Beatrix Potter School, Magdalen Road in Earlsfield.
This Sunday 18th December at 4.30pm.

If its not too far afield, there's a lovely children's Christmas service at St Nicholas Church, near Tooting Broadway on Christmas Eve at 4pm.

I've taken my very young girls the last couple of years.
