Present/Bonus for childminder

Postby balhamite » Thu Dec 15, 2011 2:22 pm

Hello, I have a lovely childminder and I want to get her something for Christmas to show her how much we appreciate her. I am currently thinking nice gift but was wondering if it is normal to give a cash bonus like I know people sometimes do with nannies.

Any advise would be appreciated

Hello I'm a childminder and personally I think a nice present is the way forward but when I was younger (under 30) I would have wanted money! Also taking the time to write a note with why you appreciate her so much, what she's done that's special and what your children feel, is really lovely. Its so nice to get feedback on what's going right - if your children have said anything appreciative I'm sure she would love to know!
Hope that helps, Taloula
