Hi there,

We're moving house and would like to change some of the locks at the new house. Can someone please recommend a locksmith.

Many thanks

The Lock Centre on Lavender Hill is brilliant. They changed my locks when I'd lost my handbag and when I didn't have quite enough cash they said don't worry - I took the extra cash to the shop later. They are a local shop which has been there for years. They also got smashed up during the looting so even more reason to use them!

i second the recommendation, i've also used them recently and found them very good.

if for any reason they can't help you, SDS in Northcote Road is excellent.

I use a guy called Jim Leake, whose company is called Goldie Locks. He's on 07734 777306

He was recommended by an estate agent who sold me a flat. Recently one of my neighbours was burgled so I got Jim to beef up the security on our house. Worryingly I read my contents insurance policy and realised it wasn't valid without much heigher levels of security than we already had.

Thoroughly nice guy and reasonably priced.

I've used a fellow named John who's been great (also has a daughter apprenticing). I found his website online during a search but can't find it now. He's always been fantastic, very professional and with very reasonable rates. He even gave me a credit last time for time unused from the previous visit. He changed all of our locks the day we moved in and we've used him since for other lock issues/replacing etc. He can be reached at 07706533488.

I second one of the reviews above.

We used Jim Leake, from Goldie Locks last night (07734 777306).
Very reliable and friendly!
