Good curtain maker to recommend?

Postby Mimi54 » Sat Mar 24, 2012 10:19 pm

Hi there,

I'm looking for a good curtain maker (the kind that delivers a free of charge service to come out and design, measure and estimate and that would brings with him fabric books). Any recommendation?

Many thanks!

We just had beautiful pinch pleat curtains and a roman blind made by Bevelee Regan from Jayworks. She is very talented and cares about quality and finish. I am thrilled with our curtains and the whole process of getting them made was very simple. I couldn't recommend Bevelee highly enough. Her email is jayworks.regan@gmail.com if you want to get in touch with her.

Jay Works sounds good - I've been looking for a decent curtain company for ages!!

Do they have a shop or do you have a website/ phone number for them? Cant seem to find any mention of them online!!

I recommend to get a quote from www.wonderstitches.com

A family run business, they made very beautiful curtains pelmets and blinds in 3 bedrooms at a great price.

We recently used Lou Oliver (lou_olivier@hotmail.com) to make a set of full length double pinch pleat and black out lined curtains for our master bedroom. She did an excellent and quick job. Lou comes with the added bonus that her husband is very capable and sourced and fitted the pole track and board (to cover the track) for us. She lives in Clapam and I would highly recommend her.

hope that helps

We used The Curtain Workshop in Wandsworth Town and were really pleased with the quality and the service.

Noticed quite a few people want to know of a curtain/blind maker. If I can be of any use please feel free to ask, i am only a email away, i do have a website tradecurtains.co.uk so no pressure just have a look and if you like what you see please contact me. can offer a fitting and measuring service as well.

I do make up your own fabric and I can also supply fabric as well.
