Dominican Republic with a toddler

Postby mummynanny » Wed May 30, 2012 3:04 pm

Hello, I was wondering if any of you did a trip with a toddler to Dominican Republic and stayed for only one week. We went couple of years ago with my husband for two weeks and the place is just amazing! We are trying to decide where to go to celebrate our 10th anniversary and would love to return to DR. My only question is would it be worth to go with 22 months old girl soooo far for only one week? We are very limited with our holidays and cannot take more time off. Have any of you done a 1 week long haul holiday with a toddler? What was your experience?

We went to St Lucia last year with an 8 month old for 9 days
The flight was horrible - both ways - but to be honest you forget as soon as you dip your toes in that stunning water. On the up side, the jet lag was minimal.

I found the climate was perfect for small children, hot enough for us but low humidity and plenty of shade for him.

Enjoy.
