Food Donation

Postby FromNYCtoBalhamMum » Mon Jun 25, 2012 2:15 pm

After two lovely years here in London my husband's company is moving us back to the US. Unfortunately, US Custons will not allow us to bring ANY foodstuffs with us. Does anyone know of a place/charity that takes food donations?

Thanks

I would have thought Ace of Clubs on St Alphonsus Road, Clapham SW4 would rake them, they cook meals for their day centre for homeless. If you want to check you could call them on 020 7720 2811, 020 7720 0178 or email us at sarahmiles@aceofclubs.org.uk.

Foodbank is a brilliant charity. http://www.trusselltrust.org/foodbank-projects/. I think there is a foodbank drop off at the Bonneville Church (I think that's what it's called - the one with the big God sign outside!) on poynders road (the south circular between clapham and streatham hill). A big thank you to you... Many other people would just chuck it away.

Food bank @ St Paul's Church : 184 Ferndale Road, Brixton, London, SW9 8AH.
I think it is open on Sat and Tues b.w 10.30 and 12 but do check as I am not 100% sure.
