Villas & Gites with pools in France

Postby NYE31 » Fri Aug 10, 2012 5:44 pm

I'm looking for a villa or gite with a pool suitable for a toddler & a baby for next Summer 2013 (probably June) Ideally 2 bedrooms & to sleep a min of 2 adults.

Who should I book through & does anyone have any recommendations on places to stay?

Thanks v.much x

Thank you, it looks amazing. Has anyone stayed anywhere in Normandy or Brittany?

Ideally we'd like to be no more than a couple of hours drive from one of the ferry ports.

If anyone can recommend anything, I'd love to hear.

Thanks

We stayed here last September and I would really recommend both the company we booked through and the gite itself: http://www.holidaytots.co.uk/toddler-an ... y-107.html

(Let me know if the link doesn't work)

The lady who runs Holiday Tots was really helpful and attentive and the gite itself was perfect for us. It is set in beautiful countryside but not too far from St Malo (there is barely any traffic on the roads out there so the journey was quick and pleasant). The gite is owned by a British couple (who coincidentally lived in SW London before they moved out there). They were also really helpful (they live in the adjoining house (or at least that was the set up when we stayed there)) but struck up the right balance of being attentive whilst giving us our privacy. We stayed there with our then nearly two year old and I was also pregnant at the time.

Let me know if you want to know anything else.

Thanks v.much for this, this sounds exactly what we are after.

What sort of ferry times did you go for? We will have a toddler & a baby by next Summer so wondering whether to go overnight or during the day.

Are there any particular beaches or things to do that you would recommend?

:)
