Attempted child abduction in Tooting yesterday Post Reply

Hi all,
I just spotted a post on another local mum's network and apparently "A man age 25 -30 in white van attempted to abduct a child in tooting yesterday. It was reported to police and apparently there were 3 similar incidents yesterday (two same description) two girls and a boy"
Does anyone have any further information?
I've asked the lady who posted of she knows anymore and will post back with any further detail but this is quite terrifying.

This is so awful. It makes me feel sick that people are watching our little ones and waiting for a chance to take them. I'm so pleased it was 'only' attempted and the children weren't taken. I try not to be overly suspicious of people but things like this make it hard. Keep safe everyone.

it's really disturbing! Can we please have some more information? Was the child alone? Was he with his parents or nanny? How old is the child? Thanks!

The child is 9. Was in her friends front garden, they were playing out there, the dad was watching from s window, the man aproached them and got hold of her shoulders snd tried to force her away, the girl kicked him and the dad ran out of the house and the white man got into his van and drove off.. , bald headed man, 25-30, new transit type white van.

The saddest thing is why there are so many crimes are targeted at children, babies in this society. What do these insane criminals get out of it from these innocent defenceless little angels. Can't bear of reading it.

oh this gives me chills! Thank god that little girl kicked him and ran away. our children now need to be told from a very young age of these dangers. I think schools all need to do self defense classes in schools. starting at 4! i know it sounds drastic but if this is what our world is coming too then we need to be prepared. Doesn't matter if you live in the city or not. it happens even in the most remote places too!
