Fun, energetic, experienced live-in nanny for Clapham

We are looking for a live-in female nanny to do 40 hours a week childcare, up to 3 evenings a week babysitting and to help with general housekeeping. The job is to work for two families as a nanny share, living with one of the families in Clapham.

About us
We are two families who live close to each other in Clapham and each have two children. The two elder girls are aged 2.5 and the younger ones – a girl and a boy - are both under 1. They all know each other well and we have nanny shared before. The elder two are happy, active, inquisitive toddlers and the younger two are smiley babies.

The job
• Looking after up to 3 of the children (sometimes only 1 or 2) for 40 hours each week. These will mostly be regular hours during the week Tuesday – Friday, but we are looking for someone who is willing to be flexible as hours may vary. This will include getting children up and dressed in the morning, dropping off and collecting the elder two children from the nursery (they will be there in the mornings), preparing meals, ensuring naps are taken, supervising play in the house, going out to activities and doing bathtime and getting ready for bed.
• Doing up to 3 nights babysitting per week (although this will frequently be less).
• Helping run the house to include doing the laundry, ironing, tidying, grocery shopping. [The job does not involve cleaning – this is done by a weekly cleaner.]

What we will offer
We offer a double bedroom with wifi, television and own bathroom on its own floor of the house. Food and bills will be covered. We will ensure that you have two completely free days each week and often this will be three (Saturday, Sunday, Monday).

We are looking for someone who:
- has at least 2 years full time experience looking after children
- is fun, energetic, caring and patient who loves working with young children and who will be very proactive at nurturing the children in their care
- will take pride in their work, helping us run the house and maintain a happy environment for our children
- has a flexible and open minded attitude and who will be wiling to work as a team with parents
- speaks, reads and writes excellent English
- has checkable references, a CRB check and a First Aid certificate
- is or is willing to become Ofsted registered
- is non-smoker

We are looking for someone to start at the beginning of February 2013 and would like to meet potential candidates face to face during January. We are looking for someone who is interested in the role for at least a year.

If you are interested and think you fulfil the criteria please e-mail your contact information, a cv, salary expectations and a summary of why you think you are right for the role.

Thank you!
