Fox poo on my doorstep- any suggestions?!!

Postby klw » Fri Feb 01, 2013 1:07 pm

We have been greeted by fox poo on our doorstep every morning for the last couple of weeks and, having wheeled the buggy through it, scraped it off my little girls shoes and scrabbled for baby wipes whilst controlling two small children, I am officially fed up!!!!

Any suggestions for deterrents?!!! I have a horrible feeling that our house has become the official residence of a fox too.....

Try wiping it down with bleach & spraying with soda water or neat orange squash.

I feel for you, we had a fox that kept pooing on our gravel - the green anti poo crystals are good but won't help your doorstep. Is there a set in your garden or nearby? that could be where the fox is coming from.

Keep your rubbish double bagged & in a dustbin so there are no food sources & you could always try the council.

Good luck

In the past I have used pepper as a deterrant. Sprinkled it (or thrown it out of a window at the noisy critters) in the effected areas. Apparenlty they don't like the smell/taste of it? May be worth a try?

Thanks for the advice, will be careful with rubbish and bleach the step. Not sure if there's a set near us, but they certainly make lots of noise so I'm guessing so.

Air freshener sprayed liberally around the porch area should put them off. It worked for me, you need to cover up their musk smell and they will go elsewhere.

The cheaper and more pungent the spray the better!!! It will take about 2-3 days to deter the foxes returning each night, and going elsewhere. Hopefully not your immediate neighbor!

This has awlays worked for me
