Botox - what is it really like?

Postby Emily » Wed Mar 11, 2009 7:39 am

Hi All
I'm thinking of having botox. I read an article in the Standard yesterday where it seemed to work but the writer said it made her face feel like she was wearing a headband.

Has anyone here tried it? Did it hurt? Was it worth it?

It hurts but compared to child birth its a walk in the path! But there are two big problems with it.

The second biggest problem I found was that it made my forehead feel a bit dead and you keep having to go back to have more done. Its a bit addictive! :D

The first biggest problem is that it really clashes with a lot of the values that I am trying to give my own daughter. I felt really awkward saying to her on the one hand that its all about being nice to people and the way you look isn't important and then waltzing off to have botox. I spoke to someone about this and they recommended this US book

I really can't believe there is a book that educates kids about plastic surgery! That is so WRONG :o

Thats when I decided to stop!

Hope that helps.
