Anyone tried a Swim Fin?

Postby townieatheart » Sat Jun 29, 2013 9:42 am

Just wondering how good it'd be for a nearly 3yr old? YouTube footage looks ok for little ones but it would be nice to hear any personal reviews. For example does it push the child onto their stomach and so face down into the water like a back float?

Thanks 8-)

they're great - i've done very little swimming with my 3 year old so he's not very confident and he can't actually swim - but with the swimfin on he feels more confident, enough to let go of me, and is able to stay a float (he sinks without it!). He has a very upright position in the pool (i assume due to his inexperience?) - the fin definitely doesn't push him forward. It's also very appealing to him - he likes being a shark so I never get any fuss about him not wanting to wear it.

A million times better than armbands, which we found rubbish because they restrict arm movements.... Also tried a but found very bulky. The Swim Fin we feel is the best swimming aid by a long shot... and lots of fun for the little one too!!
