I am a bit sad that I just found out the cleaner who came to do a trial had stolen the winter hat and gloves I bought for my kids. They are brand new with labels on them! My three year old cried when I couldn't find them this morning I promised him that he could wear them when riding on his scooter to nursery. I thought my husband moved them. But this time definitely not my husband. I can't believe it!

Btw, both cleaners who could have done this were highly recommend by this site. :-( one was not good for us I told her to leave. One was here for a trail.

I know a great cleaner who is honest, reliable and Professional. She only does Balham though. Let me know if you want her number. I have known her for 6 years.

Just a word of caution.... A friend of mine sacked his cleaner when a few bits started to go missing (a camera here, a jumper there), complained to the agency and she got fired. A few months later, when he realised a couple of other things has disappeared, it turned out to be his girlfriend. Yes, his girlfriend, who had also stollen and used his credit card. She was a lovely girl and they'd been going out for a while.

Between my business partner, Jackie, and myself we operate 'Done & Dusted'. I won’t sing our own praises (!) but please give her a call to discuss your requirements. She can be reached on 020 8672 3658.
Alternatively please visit our website where you can contact us via e mail.

I do find the comments on here shocking and Im sad to say we hear of cleaners abusing their position or being generally incompetent.

Annabel has used us herself, see below and recommends us, as do many other NVN users.

I have twins aged 4 Ive been a NVN 'user' now for over 2 years - Im not a 'commercial stalker'.

Annabel's post:

' Try Done and Dusted. 2 local mums run this agency and they are lovely to deal with. More importantly they run a great service. We have had a fab cleaner from them and I would highly recommend :D

Other NVN users have posted v positive things too. Just type into the search box above right.

Good luck,

Annabel xx '

Morning all,

I might be able to help!

I've recently co-founded a cleaning company called Mopp (http://www.mopp.com) which connects customers across London to awesome fully vetted, trusted and reliable cleaners.

We left our jobs in the City back in April to start Mopp after we had a dreadful experience trying to find ourselves a cleaner.

You can read a little more about us here -

http://www.cityam.com/article/knees-led ... ng-concept

You can book online and pick the exact time and date you'd like the cleaner to arrive.

Check us out if you have time!

http://www.mopp.com

Thanks,

Tom

And can I ask how many of us give sickness pay or holiday pay or pay significantly above the so-called London living wage. Or indeed leave temptation like wallets, loose coins and notes lying around. In an increasingly polarised UK - in money terms - are we surprised? Saddened maybe but surprised?

Hi guys,
just reading all of your experiences with cleaners and it is truly shocking, far to few honest people in this world. I have been cleaning for years and have cleaned for several nappyvalley mums in my spare time and received nothing but praise. After being asked to clean on a permanent basis on many occasions, I realised good cleaners are in great demand. I have now set up my own company, along with my partner, in which we specialise in all cleaning and also property maintenance. I train my cleaners myself and all go through a vigorous vetting process to ensure the highest standards are maintained. Please contact us saizencleaning@hotmail.co.uk or call 07736928103 and ask for CJ.
