A Nespresso shop where you can buy capsules would be good
An H&M and Zara would be fantastic
And a restaurant for gluten free diets would be amazing

Speaking of restaurants on Northcote Road I heard that the kitchens in All bar one and gourmet burger both have failed the food hygiene inspections

Would love a big and nice softplay place like Gambado, with fantastic cafe full of options of fresh tasty heathy food for both kids and grownups! Look how Bertie & Boo got so popular but we want something bigger and better! :D

Hi
I just checked food hygiene scores and All Bar One and GBK did really well

http://ratings.food.gov.uk/enhanced-sea ... %5E/1/1/10

Is it these scores you mean?

No this is a private conversation I overheard from the managers of both places
The manager at All bar one told the manager from gourmet burger they had got a letter from heard office saying their hygiene and standards were not up to the brand name
And the manager from gourmet replayed they had the same problem
Properly a conversation they should have had in private ;)

There's a big difference between overhearing a conversation about head office standards and stating that they have failed a health and safety inspection. Seems a bit of an irresponsible post to me :(

Yes, Bubbles last day of trading is the 23rd of February but it will not become another small business. It is to be converted back into a house or possibly another flat (there is a flat upstairs already).

I am a long time family friend of Mario at Bubbles and, despite the trend of other small businesses closing due to high business rates, Bubbles has continued to do well. Mario would like to spend more time with his family now and have a bit of a break! In the spirit of this, he will eventually be closing his vegan deli, Vegango, next door. That might become available to lease but not sure as to the time scale.

I am very sad to see Mario go, for many reasons, but happy that he's going to get the rest that he truly deserves!

I was thinking about setting up a child friendly milkshake shop (like the one that used to be in Southside) and cafe that does food, kind of like Crumpet. I hadn't realised that Crumpet had closed down i used to go there a lot.

The premises on Webbs Rd that was the florist is going to be a Spanish deli in a month's time. Yum!

I hope they do well enough to survive these tough times.

A proper French cake shop. I love them, I miss them SO MUCH (moka flavours, religieuses, merveilleux, tropeziennes, progres, foret noire...) although I love some of Gails' cakes (carrots', chocolate...) and Paul's eclairs and macarrons are ok but that's about all they offer), I would love to find more French patisseries !!!

Ok so the most recent updates is that Susie Watson Designs and Grand Passion have closed. That leaves quite a bit of empty retail space on Northcote Road with the shoe repairers and Bollingbroke Books still on the market.

The Susie Watson is quite a big frontage which means another "you know who" could be attracted. It's the continuing saga of "the death of retail as we knew it".

Any rumours, news as to who/what/when is moving in do tell.
