Hiya

I have used au pair agencies in the past, but the results have been mixed.

My best experience has been via Au Pair world - www.aupairworld.com.

It is quite time consuming but you can use filters to select people and do the assessment yourself, rather than having someone pushed onto you.

I agree with the above. I have used au pair world about six times now and have always had amazing au pairs. It can be time consuming but you learn what to look for. I used an agency once when I had to get someone very quickly and it was a disaster! They sent me terrible au pairs and I realised I could have done a much better job myself for free on au pair world! We use Smart Aupairs and find they’re great, particularly when we had quite a shy au pair, as they provide support to both sides.
