Hi,

Does anyone have experience and/or recommendation for a good speech therapist?

My daughter - now age 5 - has a heavy lisp and it is now creating difficulties for others around her to understand what she says if they are new to knowing her. I am just looking for a consultation now to evaluate her. Schools tend to wait until age 6, but hers is so heavy across different sounds, I would just like an individual evaluation.

We are ready to go private - so any reccomendations or experience very welcomed! Thank you.

I am sorry to hear that. Try The Wimbledon Practise, they have many great speech therapists and the atmosphere is really welcoming, too.

use a highly effective technique called PROMPT. It is the best way to treat motor speech and would recommend seeking out a well trained PROMPT speech therapist.
