Does anyone have any tips for good local architects who can tackle new-build projects? We may have the opportunity to design and build a new housing unit in Balham in an infill site between other properties, so we need someone experienced at dealing with a slightly awkward site - and with Wandsworth Council planning dept. Any recommendations gratefully received!

Hi there!

We are four weeks from completing a total house reno and used a great guy as our architect - Michael. He does a lot of projects in Wandsworth and the neighbouring boroughs and had experience building from new homes. We gutted a whole house and extended back, sides plus loft. He came with some great ideas for us and explained each stage well. Where we wanted things tweaking, he came back quickly and was helpful throughout.

I used hometales for my side return and loft in 2019 and they were excellent. I recently had them back to do my garden and cannot fault them
