Nurseries or Child Minder

Postby rainbow » Fri Sep 25, 2009 6:00 pm

Hi

Am just starting to think about nurseries or a child minder. My baby will be 11 months when I return to work in Jan. Live at the top end of Burntwood Lane and work near Northcote Road. Any recommendations near those areas would be gratefully received. ;)

Thanks

Welcome to NappyValleyNet and thank you for the query. We will mention this in the mailout next week so we will hopefully get you lots of answers but heres a few to be going on with...

There is a new nursery opening off Northcote Road in the New Year. Susan, from NappyValleyNet, met the founders last week and was impressed with their other operations. Their details are here...

Teddies have nurseries in Balham and Earlsfield. Both are good, our children went there, and it wouldn't be too far out of your way to go down the back of Beechcroft Road and onto Balham High Road. PRevious conversations on this forum about them are here...

Finally some comments about other nurseries in Balham...

We'll see what we can get for you next week , the mailer goes out on Tuesday.

Thanks again.

Hi Rainbow. I am virtually a neighbour. I have my NNEB and have been a nanny, childminder and maternity nurse over the past 18 years. I may be very interested. please let me know if you would like more details. A

Hi

Try Blundells Day Nursery which is just off Latchmere Road. They dont take children until they are 18months but they are Wonderful wonderful wonderful...worth waiting a little while till baby is old enough if you can but you should always view as many as possible so you can compare them. My friend just put her little boy into the first nursery she found and is now severely regretting it!

Good Luck
