Sani Greece recommendations

Postby claphammum2132 » Mon Apr 15, 2024 9:38 am

Heading to Sani in a few weeks and would love any tips or recommendations as I’ve heard it can be quite overwhelming. Travelling with a three year old and newborn so looking for any tips to make the most of the stay and not miss out on anything
Thanks!

You’re going to have a wonderful time. It’s a great place and really well designed so it’s not too overwhelming. You can spend the day around your hotel if you want as each has its own restaurants, pools, spa, creche etc. and then just stroll out for dinner if you want to keep it low key.
If you like the beach, there are 2 areas. The main beach by the marina is easy to get to / you can get a beach buggy. Def worth going to the Bouboulas beach one day though - gorgeous water and great restaurant (although one of the few not included in the dine around scheme). If you’re staying at Beach, it’s right there. Otherwise just get a buggy.
If you’re going to use the childcare in the day, it’s definitely worth booking in advance. Babysitters can be booked once you get there (and you can ask for the same one if you’re going out more than once).
Restaurant bookings are the other thing. Most open for dinner at 7 and the 7pm slot gets booked up (especially the Japanese one). You can book 3 nights in advance I think. It’s worth downloading the app in advance and having a look at which ones you fancy. Vast majority are child friendly. I would advise getting your first few nights booked in and then you can see how you go. There are a few that are open all day - like Macaroni which is a favourite with families as you can eat at 5/6pm if you’re sticking with UK times and routine.

Which hotel are you staying in? Might be able to share some other specific tips!

You can download app and book restaurants in advance a few months in advance. Depends which accommodation you’ve gone for can book either 3 or all in advance.

If you have food included worth looking at what restaurants have a set menu vs which are a credit. We found the set menus great especially for the little ones vs the credits where we spent loads on top of what we’d already spent!

You can also book bikes and scooters for the kids to get around which is great fun!

Oh, Sani's a great choice! With a three-year-old and a newborn, you might want to focus on family-friendly activities. The beach is a hit, of course, but there are also child-friendly pools and playgrounds. Keep an eye out for the kids' clubs too, they usually offer activities suited for different ages. And don't forget to check out the family-friendly dining options.
