Wear to get swimwear for a more mature shape

Postby waltzer » Fri Apr 19, 2024 11:57 am

Just replied to a skiing question but have my own query about swimwear. Can anyone recommend a brand for a slightly mature (ok rounder) shape. Love a two piece, why not! But I am always amazed at the lack of choice for more middle aged women. Would love any suggestions? Will try Amelies Follies but just wanted to get a few more suggestions to have a look for the sort of thing that I like.

Samantha Sage might be able to help
It won’t allow me to post up link but google her. She is SW London based and has been in the swimwear business for years.

Check out Miraclesuit, Magicsuit, and Coco Reef for swimwear options that cater to a slightly more mature figure. They offer supportive and stylish designs, including two-piece suits. Give them a look along with Amelies Follies.

Lots of good stuff on Boden and great size range. I'm a 63 year old apple shape and love their stuff.

Dear Waltzer, if you haven't visited us yet, we have swimwear for all ages. Swimsuits and bikinis (with small or big pants) in size 8 to 20 UK. We will not only help you find the best shape and colour to suit you, we will also help you style your holiday wardrobe so it is easy to pack. Either give us a call on 020 7924 3826 or head to our website to book a fitting appointment. We work one on one only so you don't have to be overwhelmed by other customers being on our shop floor whilst you are trying on lingerie/swimwear. We hope to see you soon The team at Amelie's Follies

Hi there, as a personal stylist I tend to look to the underwear brands for better support and coverage. If you’d like a specific cup size then I agree that Bravissimo and Pour Moi offer great choice and you could also have a look at Panache and Fantasie. Definitely worth spending a little more for decent Lycra that will last longer without going transparent! :)
