Estate agents - fee negotiation Post Reply

Hi,

Wondering what are people's experiences with estate agent fees?
I had one of the big ones in SW around recently and they said 1.5% plus VAT and absolutely refused to negotiate. It contrasts a bit to the experience some friends had in other areas - where one negotiated a 1% fee with Hamptons.

I found Hamptons, Aspire, KFH were all happy to negotiate on fees

Thanks for sharing. It looks like Hamptons is definitely on the list then.

Would be great to hear from others if they had similar experiences of agents not moving on fees.
