Metal bar on second seat Phil&Teds

Postby Lily » Mon Oct 17, 2011 5:05 pm

Hi mums,
we just bought a second hand double Phil&Teds buggy (Sports model). We installed the second seat in the front, so the newborn can be in the cocoon in the back. However, when our oldest child sits in the front seat, the fabric "slides" behind the metal bar of the seat and he bumps his head against it. Is this normal or have we installed something wrong?

Thx!

Hi! I was just posting about this very thing on another thread this morning! You might like to check whether or not the seat is in the "reclining" position, as when it is the seat extends behind the bar. Can't remember if it's a zip mechanism to secure the seat in the up position but look on each side. If it is already in the "up" position, depending on the age of the buggy it may be that the canvass has stretched a little and not in its original shape anymore. You can buy replacement canvass bits/and or second seats for your Phil and Teds try google for suppliers.
