Birthday cake maker recommendations

Postby LdS » Sat Nov 05, 2011 9:53 pm

Hi all

I know there are a few threads on birthday cake recommendations but can someone suggest someone that can do an "In the night garden" cake for me for my very soon to be 2 yr old?

DS is crazy over them - and as he missed out on his first birthday party thought it would be a nice idea...

Any suggestions greatful!!

Timi at http://www.thecakeembassy.co.uk is very creative and could easily make this for you. :)

Hi! Our Zoe is also a big fan of the ING!)) just ordered one for her 2nd birthday party @ cakeembassy. I have met Timi when placed the order, she is very nice and helpful! I ordered the same as on her site, it looks real ING! :D

Hi there.

My son also loves INTG and we opted for an INTG cake for his 1st birthday.

I can't recommend Alison at www.occasionalcake.co.uk highly enough.

here's the link of the Ninky Nonk cake that she made for us.

http://www.occasionalcake.co.uk/in-the-night-garden/

they are home made, using free range eggs and the top quality ingredients, very reasonably priced and the deliver for a reasonable price too. We have used her for all birthdays and baptisms for the past few years.

Hope the birthday party is a happy day!

Hi there,

I've been doing cake decoration at college for some time now. I started in order to make my kids birthday cakes look professional. If you need someone for future cakes please email me and I can send you photos of cakes I've done to see if you like them.

Thanks, Jools

We have just used Tarina Reeves, who came highly recommended by other NVN users on this site.

She made such a lovely cake for my daughter's 3rd birthday. She will do pretty much what you ask her, we had an "Olivia the Piglet"-themed cake, and I searched for some cake ideas on the net, and she was able to do exactly what I showed her. All the guests were very complimentary of how the cake looked and above all, tasted. Very yummy indeed!

I'd post a picture of the cake, but unfortunately the file is too big and I have no idea how to resize it. Maybe Annabel can look into options how to allow larger files to be shared....

Her phone number is 07789658703 (mention the Olivia cake and she will remember for sure).

Thank you all for all the recommendations.

We finally went for Timi at the Cake Embassy and received the "In the night garden" cake just now.

All i can say is Wow - how cute! Its just the right size and the detail is excellent!

Fingers crossed our little one is as excited as I was when seeing it ;)
