Child and baby friendly hotel in the Maldives????

Postby CJJ » Tue Feb 21, 2012 9:48 am

Hello, does anyone know of any child friendly hotels in the Maldives? Do they exist?? We are looking to go in late April or May and have a 4 year old and a 6 month old baby.

Thanks in advance for any advice/suggestions!

Hello,
We went to Bandos when our daughter was nearly one (that is almost 4 years ago now though). It was fabulous. The kids club was brilliant, she almost had the place to herself, and I'm sure they took children from 6 months. The staff love children and are very happy to entertain them while you have lunch or dinner. The snorkling is amazing and lovely beaches. Good luck booking something.

Thanks! I'll check it out! I was beginning to think that child friendly and the Maldives don't mix! Did they prepare purees for your baby when you went? I'm wondering whether I'm crazy to be thinking of going with a baby who will be weaning but it's our last chance to go out of school holidays as my daughter starts reception in the fall!

Fresh baby purees made on request at the very wonderful, child friendly LUX* Maldives!

If you can afford it the Four Seasons is absolutely amazing and they have the most fantastic kids club. The website doesn't do justice to how child friendly it is. Have fun.

We stayed at Kanuhura (http://www.kanuhura.com) last summer. I can't fault it, great facilities, amazing staff and fabulous kids club. Food was excellent too!

Hi

We have some amazing child-friendly hotels in the Maldives. Have a look at the website and you can see all the facilities for babies and children. I would agree with the above that Four Seasons are amazing for children but Lux and Le Tousserok are also very good.

Please do have a look www.luxuryandlittleones.com and feel free to send me an email kathryn@luxuryandlittleones.com or give me a ring 07973619927 if I can help. I set up Luxury and Little Ones because I have two little girls and really wanted a travel website with all the information in one place for booking my family holidays.

Thanks

Kathryn

Thanks - I will have a more detailed look at your website later. I noticed just now that you have Four Seasons kuda hura but not Four Seasons landaa. Is this because there is a big difference in how child friendly they are?

Thanks

Hi

No - both of the Four Seasons are as lovely and child-friendly as each other and we can book both. They really are fabulous hotels for taking children. They go out of their way to make you comfortable as a family and provide what you need.

Please do feel free to give me a ring later.

First Choice and Hayes and Jarvis go to Bandos which is only a half hour transfer by boat from the airport. We have been there twice admittedly with teenagers but small children would enjoy it equally I am sure, it is very affordable as far as Maldives hoildays go.

Fantastic house reef.

Hi there, we went to Hilton Iru Fushi in April a couple of years ago and it was great! The Kids club was very good with attentive staff, lots to do and had amazing wooden toys. They even had a room for babies to sleep. They did dinner in your room early for children as the main restaurant opened at 7pm. Food very good quality. The main pool for children was good though I don't remember them having a paddling pool. They have a separate adult one though if you fancy a break. I'd go back in a shot - they really looked after us.
