Does anyone know of any good artists/companies that would do a nice mural for a children's bedroom? Looking for an under-the-sea mural with mermaids etc! Thanks

Possibly! We found a really lovely girl a few years ago who did a fantastic job for us in our playroom but I don't know if she is still in the area. I didn't want to post her details on the website without checking with her first so I have just emailed her and if comes back to me and says she is still around I will let you know.

Hi, I'm have to admit I'm not a professional muralist - but a local sculptor and as times are a bit slow, and I had such fun doing a mural for my boys, I thought I'd offer my services. If you like the style of the attached image, I'd be happy to work on a design with you.

My boys' mural was inspired my Rousseau's paintings and uses just 6 colours, that contrast with each other well, so it looks good in the dark as well. I always think of the bit in The Far Pavilions (have you ever read it? bit of a guilty pleasure from my teens) where Ashok talks about the jewel encrusted murals in the room he slept in as a child, and how he used to invent stories about the different animals etc.. I wanted to do something for my little ones to love and invent stories about as they lay in bed.

I could do something similar for an underwater theme if you are interested - it would be fun...

This is extremely late, and I have no doubt that you have found a mural artist to work with now, but I thought I would show you some images of a recent winnie the pooh nursery I painted.
