Sitters.co.uk

Postby Gillak » Fri Oct 26, 2012 8:33 am

Has anyone used the company "Sitters" for evening babysitting? I am nervous about leaving my babes with someone I have never met but they are all ofsted registered etc. Has anyone any good/bad experiences with them? Or can anyone recommend someone. I am looking for a babysitter for this Saturday night!

Have used them before when our normal babysitter couldn't do it - and they've always been very reliable. Only issue we've had with them is that we have a small dog, and they have sent us babysitters on various occasions who were terrified of dogs (virtually had to coax them into the house) and then put the dog in a separate room for the evening! But other than that really good!

Hello, we have been using sitters.co.uk for a few months now and they have been absolutely brilliant. They always try and book your favourite(s) babysitters for you so we end up with the same 3 ladies pretty much all the time. It's nice to know the little ones are with someone trustworthy. The babysitters are local and usually in their 30's and some of them have kids themselves. Price wise if you use them regularly it works out exactly the same as an ad-hoc babysitting. It's been a lifesaver for us - we love the flexibility. As a couple it almost feel like we can be spontaneous again and go out when we want to. Go for it!

I've used them since my son was 3 months and it has worked well for us as it gives me peace of mind as all the minders are nannies / CBI checked and also gives us flexibility e.g. booked for this Saturday yesterday morning and they've organised a sitter. That said at first it was great as we had the same sitter for c. 5 bookings and recently we've had different ones each time, but I just spend some extra time making sure i'm comfortable with them.
