Holiday home to rent - France, 45 minutes from La Rochelle

Postby paulie134 » Sun Feb 10, 2013 6:06 pm

A beautifully restored 18th century farmhouse set in it's own grounds in the centre of the pretty rural hamlet of La Jousseliniere with a brand new swimming pool.

Situated amongst the rolling hills and sunflower fields of the Vendee in the west of France, La Maison du Bonheur is an idyllic rural holiday retreat. Located around 45 minutes drive from La Rochelle airport, and 1hr drive from Nantes airport, it's the perfect base from which to explore the Dordogne and Gironde regions.

This lovingly renovated 19th century farmhouse (Gite) is located in the beautiful Vendee region of France. An ideal setting for a romantic honeymoon or special family occasion. Ideal for a quiet holiday in the sun, the Vendée is said to equal anywhere in France for hours of sunshine each year. The climate means the season extends from Easter to late October - the average monthly temperature in September is 70 degrees.

La Maison du Bonheur has 4 large bedrooms and can accomodate up to 8 people, making it ideal for families.
La Maison du Bonheur sleeps 8 people comfortably in four bedrooms. The accommodation comprises:
The master bedroom has a double bed, antique wardrobe and chest of drawers. Although, beware of the low beams!
The second bedroom has a double bed. It has a large wardrobe, windows that open out onto the garden, a table and chair and a chest of drawers.
The third bedroom has a double bed, a table and seat and a large antique wardrobe.
The fourth bedroom has twin beds and is ideal for children or adults. This contains seating and a chest of drawers.
The main living area has comfy sofas, television and DVD player with a selection DVDs and a large coffee table.
Kitchen/Dining area with seating for 8. At one side is the kitchen, with modern units, a gas cooker, fridge freezer, washing machine and microwave. A door lead out onto the patio where there is a table, chairs and parasol for dining outdoors.
